I love to metal detect for American Civil War relics, at old home sites, and underwater. Occasionally I’ll go coin shooting at a local park but not too often. I’m going to pick 5 of my best videos from the 189 videos I have listed out on YouTube from The Mental Metal Channel.
5. Over 200 Years Ago Someone Lost Something – Underwater Metal Detecting
I forgot how awesome it was to find my very first colonial copper coin. To top it off, I found it metal detecting underwater. That was my first big find water detecting and it hooked me from that day forward. This was one of my best metal detecting finds back then.
4. SILVER Coins Everywhere! INSANE! – Coin Shooting
You might be surprised that this video isn’t number 1 but I’m not a big coin shooter but it is one my TOP 5 videos for sure. I was real lucky when I ran into this permission and I still have dreams of getting back to this place and we will get back there. As far as 2019 goes this is my best metal detecting find for the year but its still early.
3. Finding a Lost Mining Town – Relic Hunting
This video was back in the early days of my metal detecting days. I did a lot of research to find the lost mining town and I was so excited to find the town. Plus, this area is where I grew up and hunted during my youth. It meant a lot to figure out the history and what went on there in the early 1900’s. We also had the best metal detectors around back then. The Garrett AT Pros.
2. Hidden Tunnel Found Digging Out a Septic Tank! – Relic Hunting
I absolutely love this permission. It is probably my most favorite place to metal detect, the 1817 Mansion. I’ve found so many awesome relics and coins at this site. Plus, I became very good friends with the owners and all of my finds are now displayed in their display cabinet. The tunnel discovered was an added bonus to an already amazing place. Finding the tunnel was icing on the cake.
1. Whats Down The Hole? – Relic Hunting
Not only is this my number 1 pick its also a video that went viral for a while. “Whats Down The Hole” has been seen over 2 million times. Plus, it really shows how stupid and inexperienced we were in this video. It’s still one of my favorites to watch and I laugh every time I see us trying to throw that tiny magnet down the hole.
