JayStrongbow is a real life relic hunter. In the spring and fall you will find Jay hitting cellar holes and fields in the north eastern part of the United States. I’ve gotten to know Jay over the last year or so and we’ve exchanged numerous emails and comments related to some of my YouTube videos that I’ve done on the XP Deus 2. Before I share his Relic program with you, I wanted to pass on some first hand advice coming from the man who created this awesome program. Here is Jay in his own words:
- Keep in mind this is an aggressive program. Beginners might start with 2.5 reactivity and 2 silencer while they are learning.
- In moderate iron or fields, run 1.5 reactivity and 3 silencer. I did a field hunt earlier this year and ran like this with a 11-inch coil and grabbed a few Colonial coins, buttons, and a couple of relics.
- I recommend 9-inch coil on the cellar holes, 11 or 13-inch coil on cleaner ground for coverage only
