1️⃣ Start in Zero Mode

  • Set the detector to Zero Mode to eliminate factory preset discrimination.
  • Activate Multi-Frequency Mode for better target identification.
  • Lower Sensitivity to ~7 in a controlled environment (adjust as needed in the field).

2️⃣ Access the Accept/Reject Menu

  • Press the middle button to enter the settings menu.
  • Scroll up to find the accept/reject menu.
  • Use the plus (+) or minus (-) buttons to navigate.

3️⃣ Notch Out Unwanted Signals

  • Block signals from 0-39 (iron and undesired metals).
  • In the second row (40-99), manually accept only coin-related signals (see next step).

4️⃣ Specific Coin-Friendly Notch Settings

  • Accept:
    • 52-54 (Nickels including β€œV”, shield, and war nickels)
    • 61-66 (Indian Head pennies, 3 cent coins aka Trimes)
    • 73-96 (Quarters, half dollars, dollars, dimes, pennies, silver coins, KGs, Large Cents, Reales, Cut silver coins etc.)
  • Reject:
    • 0-39 (top row)
    • 40-51
    • 55-60
    • 67-72
    • 97-99
